Young Catherine Nicholas also took first place in the Young Handlers with a British Lop Gilt – well done Catherine.

Well done indeed to Julian and Adam Collings and Rachel and Catherine Nicholas.....both a long way from home!

Apart from Great Yorkshire being such a fantastic show it is the ‘Pig of the Year’ title that drags so many from so far and with the British Lops taking the overall show Championship last year with Balsham Sunshine 40, from Guy and Melanie Kiddy, we had a lot to live up to.

With great pleasure the British Lops did indeed come through with a Reserve 'Female Pig of the Year' trophy to Liskeard Pride 144th from Julian Collings.

With all the very ‘best of the best’ of all breeds contending this is certainly no easy feat, so well done to both Julian and Adam, along with all our other fantastic exhibitors who flew the flag high for the British Lops.

Coming next – News of some more fantastic results for the British Lops with Rachel and Catherine Nicholas at the Royal Welsh and details of the Society Show and Sale to be held at Melton Mowbray on 13th and 14th September.
